3.0 REFLECTION
3.1 Experience
Comparing this final assignment with the previous ones, I think this has the most cohesive design which showed my improvement in maintaining the balance and harmony of each illustration. I really enjoyed learning new techniques in After Effects and is always surprised with the outcome. Through this assignment, I learned how to convey a story using visuals, text, and narrations in a way that the viewers can connect with. It also made me reflect on the effort poured into the countless short-form videos I’ve saw on social media. Although it was just for 15-20 seconds, it does not look as easy as it seems and that made me appreciate the hard work of the artists even more.
3.2 Areas for Improvement
I think the cloak swaying animation for Sequence 1 can be more drastic, it looks too subtle and less noticeable compared to other sequences, hence I added a Zoom In effect to compensate for the animation.
