4.0 REFLECTION
Experience
This module has broaden my horizons on how important typography is and how it impacts any form of design. It is a very niche area and is more demanding that expected, which is truly something worth exploring. Through these 14 weeks, it was no doubt hectic and challenging at times but I'm glad I was ale to pull through it and deliver my best for each task. I've learnt a lot more in depth about type design, and I'm grateful for everything that Mr. Vinod had taught us.
Observations
When completing each task, I observed that paying attention to details can determine the final execution and outcome of the design. This is something I have noted every time in my reflection for each task, and it still cannot be emphasised enough. By paying attention to little details that don't seem to matter, it can tell a lot about how much effort is put in into each design. By practicing this every time, it helps me to be more attentive and more intentional in my design choices.
Findings
The key takeaway from this module is just to keep on trying and don't get easily satisfied with the first outcome as there is always potential to do better. I also noted one thing that Mr. Vinod had mentioned before, which is receiving feedback is helpful, but we still have to trust our design choices instead of craving excessive validation from other people. In the end, the design is ours and the choice is ours to make, we can use feedback as a guide but don't let it dilute the design's identity. Be confident, as it it always up to us to decide.
